I would give that book 3.5 stars if goodreads would finally allow half star ratings. Well this is the worst rating I had to give a Odd Thomas novel. It had the usual humor and suspense but the natural catastrophe Odd has to avoid… Well for me it seemed too much, too big for a small town fry cook. It’s also playing only over a couple of hours (hence the name) which makes the story seem even more rushed that it is anyway.
I’ll keep reading the Odd Thomas novels because I really love them. Odd Hours wasn’t really a bad book but the three preceding ones set the expectations too high for the fourth novel to be above average
